Mastazine Handbook – was ist das?

Das Handbuch soll als Trigger funktionieren, um vom Denken ins Tun zu kommen über das Teilen verschiedener Methoden, der besten Praktiken, Erfahrungen, Ratschläge und Anekdoten zu kreativem Aktivismus. Das Handbuch ist ein Versuch, jede einzelne Essenz des kreativen Aktivismus darzustellen. Die beste Art, das Konzept des Kreativen Aktivismus am dichtesten und am klarsten zu erklären darzustellen, war für die Macherinnen und Macher des Mastazine Handbook, die zu zeigen, die es entwickelt haben.

Mastazine Handbook

This handbook is intended to function as a trigger to move from thinking to doing, by sharing different methodologies, best practices, experiences, advice and anecdotes about creative activism. We have tried to nail down the very essence of creative activism, and while doing so, understood that the best way for us to explain the concept of creative activism, is to access the concept itself from the closest and deepest way possible – those who develop it.

Defining creative activism is like giving one only meaning to the concept of enthusiastic rebellion, and as unnatural as trying to sneeze with your eyes open. Therefore the main part of this handbook is interviews. We have made an attempt to catch the soul of what creative activism is and makes. Creating a direct dialogue with creative activists, opens the possibility of exchange of opinions – information – motivations – techniques and experiences.

To complement the interviews we share some example processes in the first chapter about methods, and some examples of actions. And – the project it’s not finished yet! The Handbook is an open process so we are happy to receive more action reports and interviews from around the world.
